Immediate Dentures
Get Dentures fitted the same day!
These dentures, also known as immediate or surgical dentures, are crafted before your natural teeth are extracted. This allows for immediate placement, addressing both cosmetic needs and functional requirements. We take impressions of your mouth while your natural teeth are still present, enabling our denturists to create matching dentures in advance.
While these dentures are considered temporary, they offer significant advantages. They serve as a crucial interim solution before transitioning to more permanent options like Implant-supported Dentures. Immediate dentures facilitate early adaptation to eating and speaking with dentures, ensuring you never have to go without teeth. We can also replicate the shape, color, and pattern of your natural teeth, using your existing teeth as a guide.
Immediate dentures: Benefits and Advantages
You can enjoy the following benefits once you have immediate dentures:
They act as a protective bandage, minimizing tissue trauma and bleeding.
They shield your gum ridges from trauma and debris.
They support better nutrition and chewing during healing.
They allow you to maintain your appearance and confidence during the healing process.
They enable us to recreate the look of your natural teeth.
Determining if Immediate Dentures Are Right for You:
Immediate dentures are ideal if you require tooth extractions due to poor dental health. After consulting with your denturist and dentist, you can decide if immediate dentures are the right choice. Depending on your condition, your denturist may recommend complete immediate dentures, which replace all teeth in an arch, or partial immediate dentures, which replace specific missing teeth. Our team is available to help you choose the best denture option for your needs.

Post Immediate Denture Care
While immediate dentures are placed on the same day as extractions, follow-up care is essential. You must wait 24 hours before removing your dentures after your extractions. Following a post-operative evaluation with your denturist, you can begin removing and cleaning your dentures with soapy water and a denture brush. Regular rinsing of your mouth with warm, salty water is also recommended to promote healing.
Begin with soft foods and gradually introduce firmer foods as you become comfortable. Healing times vary based on individual dental and oral health.
As your gums heal over the following months, your denture may require a temporary reline to improve fit and function. After complete healing, typically around six months post-extraction, a permanent reline will be necessary.
